Well I know the Lord has shown me the way
He’s taken my darkness and thrown it away
But there’s something deep inside me
That wants me to stay the same

That doesn’t want me to change
And what do I do
To keep on runnin’ to you
What I do I don’t want to do (x4)
Well sometimes I think it’d be easy to do
Walk away and turn my back on you
But there’s something deep inside me
That keeps me from turnin’ away
Make a choice for the hope of a lifetime
Instead of hanging on a moment today

To keep myself runnin’ from you
